Hi I'm Emily, the life behind EmDesign Iowa Wedding Invitations & Stationery. I've been working as a graphic designer for 4 years and have always had the dream of owning/running my own graphic design business.
How EmDesign Got Started I got engaged in October of 2012 and started planning my wedding right away. As a designer I wanted every last detail to be perfect so I basically ended up with a DIY wedding! I handmade all of my invitations, centerpieces, and even my flowers! After my wedding took place I seemed to have all of this extra time and I thought how perfect it would be to help Iowa brides create wedding invitations and stationery that matched their personalities and wedding theme. I started out by designing invitations and programs for a few of my friends and when they loved the designs I jumped right in and officially started EmDesign!

Nearly two years later, I couldn't be happier with how EmDesign has grown. I've assisted over 100 brides in 25 states with making their wedding dreams a reality. I received the Wedding Wire Couple's Choice Award 2015 for my first year in business. I can't wait to see where this business will take me in the future! Along the way, I hope to helps brides set a lasting impression for their guests from the moment they receive the invitation. Some of my favorite pre-made designs are available for purchase in my store but my true passion is creating custom invitation packages that reflect the uniquness of each couple! If you're wanting to try something different/completely unique I'm your girl! I'm always on the lookout for new exciting ideas and I also have die-cutting capabilities to really WOW your guests! My favorite wedding stationery items are the guest book pages. Maybe it's because I'm a sentimental person but I love the thought of getting a personal/fun note from every one of your guests. The guestbook pages are designed to match your theme/stationery and are filled with questions of your choice to have your guests fill out. Some questions might be: • What should we name our children • How do you know the couple • Favorite memory of the couple • Advice for the newlyweds
Leave one at each place setting for your guests to complete throughout the night! This turns out to be an amazing keepsake.
